When you hear the word Corvette, you immediately think of American sports cars, speed, or perhaps the C8. This is a slightly less new one. Namely its over, over, over, over, over, over, over, over, over grandfather. The C1. This was the beginning of the Corvette, a beginning of a legendary series. In 1953, the first full-concept was exhibited at GM's (General Motors) Motorama at New York's Waldorf Astoria Hotel in January. Then in the same year in June, the official 1st example for production rolled off the assembly line. In December, production of the 1954 model began at the assembly plant in St.Louis, Missouri. A total of 69,015 examples of the Corvette C1 were built over the years.
Step into the 1960 Chevrolet Corvette C1 Cabriolet. This classic in Roman Red with full red vinyl interior exudes class. From the seats to the mats to the dashboard. It really is a look back in time, pure American class at its best! The interior is well-preserved and features a 'Wonderbar' radio for that nostalgic touch. The neat chrome bumpers & accents around the car complete the picture.
This example comes from the United States. New Jersey to be precise. This can be seen in the inspection sticker on the windscreen and the 2002 New Jersey Certificate of Title. On 17-11-2022, it was registered on Dutch registration for the first time.
Under the bonnet is a powerful 283CI 4.6-litre 'small block' V8 with the more reliable and sought-after carburettor, good for 220 hp at 4600 rpm and 407 Nm of torque at 3000 rpm. Coupled to this, is the optional 4-speed manual transmission which makes for an authentic driving experience. This Corvette comes with both a white hardtop and a white soft-top, so you can drive in all weather conditions.
This car has been well maintained and has documentation, including an old New Jersey title, import documents and various invoices.
This is your chance to own a piece of automotive history!
