What do you know about Singer? Firstly, it is an incredibly old brand. Singer Motors Limited was founded in 1874 as a bicycle manufacturer. It wasn't until later that the brand began focusing on cars and commercial vehicles.
In the early 1930s, Singer was one of Britain's largest car manufacturers, after Austin and Morris. They were known for their successful participation in competitive events, competing with the Sport and Le Mans versions of the Nine. The highlight came with the introduction of the 1½-Litre Sports in 1933, based on the existing six-cylinder 14hp model. A year later, in 1934, the Le Mans version followed, impressing with a 7th and 8th place finish at the legendary 24-hour race. While the car could not match Aston Martins and Rileys in endurance races, the 1½-litre Singer was a formidable competitor in trials, rallies, and other competitions. Only a few examples have survived the test of time, making this car a rare sight from the 1930s.

Our Singer is a beautiful example with well-documented history and is in a very neat and well-maintained condition, with every detail emphasizing the rich history of the Singer 1½ Litre Tourer.
