Descrizione

Since 1975, we have been dealing with a wide variety of cars and their corresponding customers on a daily basis. For years, the Porsche 924 was dismissed with the phrase "it's not a 911, so it's not a Porsche." We have always been fans of the Porsche transaxle series (924, 944, and 968). Why? Because these Porsche models offer fantastic handling. While a 911 is undeniably sensational with its six-cylinder engine and rear-mounted motor, the transaxle Porsche models handle beautifully on the road.

Luckily, the Porsche 924 has rightfully earned its place in the classic car world and among Porsche enthusiasts. A bit of history: The Porsche 924 was conceived as a collaboration between Volkswagen-Audi with the aim of offering a lower-priced sports car to a broader audience. However, the economic changes of the 1970s took an unexpected turn. Porsche continued the 924 project, and the model was introduced in 1976.

Our 924 is truly something special. This particular model has been fully prepared by the official Dutch Porsche (classic) dealer as a rally car, with an investment of over €54,000 to get it to its current state. This makes the car the perfect companion for rally racing.

Originally from Italy, this model came to the Netherlands in 2017, complete with all original (service) booklets and in very good condition. The body of this car is not restored, original, and in great condition, as are the interior and the underside of the vehicle.

During the modifications, the reliable 2.0 engine was tuned and equipped with two carburetors. The documentation includes a power test on the dynamometer, among invoices and lots of documents. The brakes have ventilated discs and calipers from the Porsche 944. The suspension is also based on the Porsche 944, and in addition to the beautiful Fuchs wheels, Bilstein shock absorbers are installed, along with electric power steering and adjustable rear axle height.

In addition to the modifications, the list is too long to mention, but some other modifications include: tripmeter, dual fuel pump, parking heater, electronic ignition, high-capacity alternator, roll cage, sport seats with four-point electric belts, spotlights, fog lights, and a larger fuel tank from the Porsche 924 turbo with a capacity of 80 liters.

It is clear that this example is very special, and no expense has been spared to prepare the car for rallying at this level. The car is ready to drive and is ideal for events such as a winter trial. Take a look at the photos for a brief impression.
