Trade-in car.The neat British brand suddenly came up with an extremely flamboyant Camargue in 1975. The management at Rolls-Royce also knew that if we wanted a model that did not look like our regular offering, we really had to leave the island. So they did and ended up in Italy. Pininfarina was commissioned to design what would become the new top model in the Rolls-Royce portfolio.
The world was in shock. Especially the modest Rolls drivers, who were not used to this. That did not change the fact that 530 people mercilessly went to the dealer to order a Camargue. Don't blame them, unlike many other large luxury coupes, time has been very kind to the Camargue. What a beautiful and stately design it still is. The Rolls-Royce Camargue is considered by many to be the most unique Rolls-Royce ever.
From its launch, the Camargue was the flagship of the model line. This was also the most expensive production car in the world.
The technology is standard Rolls-Royce technology from that time that could also be found in other models. The 6.75 liter tappet V8 produces 272 hp and is of course linked to a three-speed automatic transmission. The Camargue was the model on which Rolls-Royce debuted its self-levelling rear suspension.
Our Rolls Royce Camarque dates from 1976 and was delivered new in California and, as is very popular in the US, received a white body with a beautiful blue leather interior and blue carpets. The bodywork is in good condition considering its age but does need some attention. The interior is completely original with a beautiful patina. This Camarque comes with a sales service book and a radio manual.
Technically, we would like to recommend maintenance (preventive or otherwise). We received this car and it is in our warehouse. An appointment is required to view this car.
A unique opportunity to acquire an extremely rare Camarque.
