This restored 3.8 FHC is a real drivers car! Upgraded with period upgrades; forged pistons, oil-cooler, Cooper-Craft big discs and 4 pot front calipers, Dunlop D-type racing wheels ( much better handling ; 9 cm wider base ) big-bore down pipes and stainless steel big bore exhaust, rear suspension period race stabilizer ( body sits rock solid on rear suspension ), stiffer anti roll bars , K&N air inlet for much better breathing ( original present), invisible service free electronic ignition ( engine protection and performance), big automatic front radiator fan, lightweight geared starter( original present), G-Trag 265 5 speed gear box ( original present), period Moto Lita smaller steering wheel ( persons to 1.90 m can drive this car). Period 3-point safety belts are mounted. Latest maintenance; rear brakes full maintenance, valves adjusted 5000 km, gearbox conversion and new Borg & Beck clutch 8.000 km, oil filters oil.... The seats are in very good original condition , dark olive green leather. The central console is not mounted ( original present) for better leg room and the engine makes the music anyway! Period 3-point seat belts are mounted. The bonnet is modified to light weight head light specifications, made from plexi and stainless steel fixing rings. This E-type does not have the typical " black hole" in the center at dark due to poor positioning of the factory head lights! ( original fixing points are present as well as the original heavy glass covers and chrome rings ). I own the car for 17 years now and had it restored on order then. The restoration is documented with a picture file. This exceptionally performant and very good handling E-type can be driven in all comfort at a cruising pace at 2500 rpm and can be turned into growling beast by pushing down the throttle. Steering is razor sharp and it stops where and when you want it to stop! This magnificent 3.8 takes you trouble free all around Europe, through long traffic jams, country roads, mountains and long stretches of highway thanks to its fifth gear that will keep the revving down. My E-type has never been registered as an " oldtimer", but passed every year normal technical control to modern cars standards.
