Fortunately Italy has many icons in the automotive field, but the Alfa Romeo Montreal in particular has received the recognition it rightly deserves over the years. Anyone who thinks that the Montreal is only about looks is mistaken. This Alfa has a fantastic V8 engine under the hood with more than enough power, even by modern standards. Essentially, we can say that Alfa derived the engine from the 33 Stradale. Where should we start when describing this icon? First of all, the Montreal’s colour is, in our humble opinion, fantastic, and the characteristic lines are beautifully emphasised thanks to the finish.

The example we offer here is, in our opinion, one of the better examples. This Alfa has been very well restored and overhauled and belonged to a true Montreal enthusiast. The last owner cherished the car over the past fifteen years, and we are able to provide the car with a comprehensive history including various invoices and original (maintenance) booklets. As a result of the restoration work, the interior looks very beautiful and is in good and original condition. The body colour 'Grigio Agento Mettellizato' looks exceptionally neat and was completely repainted during the restoration work. It is evident that the work was carried out with all due care and attention to detail.

The interior features black leather upholstery and a red fabric carpet set. The combination is truly fantastic, and the overall appearance is exceptionally neat. Both the upholstery and the carpet were recently replaced, leaving the overall condition impeccable, including details such as the dashboard and the instrumentation. The (recent) invoices that come with this car show that the owner was a true enthusiast and maintained the car very well. Recent maintenance includes, among other things, new brake callipers and brake pads. The car drives excellently, and driving the Montreal is always wonderful experience. The engine runs smoothly, accelerates well, and sounds amazing. Shifting gears is precise, and the brakes feel good. Because the owner did not skimp on maintenance, this example feels solid.

We would very much like to see them more often: a Montreal in this condition with up-to-date maintenance. In our opinion, this one is one of the better examples on the market.
