Launched in 1961, the Jaguar E-Type quickly became an icon in the automotive world. With its seductive styling, powerful engines and impressive performance, the E-Type captured the hearts of car enthusiasts worldwide. It was considered one of the most beautiful cars ever made and provided groundbreaking technology, such as independent suspension and disc brakes. The E-Type's successful racing career and prominent owners, including celebrities such as Steve McQueen, contributed to its status as a legendary sports car. The Jaguar E-Type's legacy lives on as a timeless symbol of elegance and speed. Even Enzo Ferrari thought it was one of the most beautifully designed cars in the world!

This is an original US-delivered 1964 Jaguar E-Type Series 1. It is finished in a professionally painted 'Maroon' paint, opposite a beige leather interior. And tasteful colour combination that looks even better in real life than in the photos! This iconic E-type was first delivered in California and has been preserved in very good, original condition due to the dry climate. In mid-2018, it left California and was shipped to the Netherlands. Some two years later, it was registered on Dutch registration plates for the first time. The owner has spared no expense to bring this Jaguar into top condition. For instance, the engine was recently completely overhauled on Dutch soil, the fuel lines replaced and the carburettors completely overhauled in Hilversum (NL) at ´The Classic way´.
The overall condition is therefore impressive, with a glossy paint and deep finish. The bodywork is solid, with good seams. The chrome window frame is in good original condition. The re-chromed front and rear bumper are beautiful. The chrome wire wheels have been expertly polished. The instruments such as; speedometer, tachometer, coolant temperature, oil pressure gauge, petrol gauge, voltmeter and even another analogue clock are of very good quality. Today, with 09970 miles on the odometer (about 200 miles since the engine overhaul was completed), the car presents itself as a nice driver's car, ready for immediate use!

Much about its American life can be found in the many documentation such as old invoices. For instance, it can be seen that it was co-maintained there by Jaguar specialist Jim Groom. Everything that was done on Dutch soil is also fully documented through photos and the corresponding invoices.
Besides these invoices, a Heritage Certificate, manuals, informative documents and registration papers are also present.
The beautiful and legendary E-type design combined with recent mechanical maintenance offers the new owner an E-type to drive and enjoy for years to come.

A beautiful icon that will fit into any collection!
