Descrizione

The Porsche 356 is one of Porsche's icons and a fantastic classic for the most diverse rides. The model is also considered worldwide as one of the best sports cars of its time. Porsche had the 356 in its lineup for more than fifteen years, and throughout the years, we see numerous changes, showing Porsche's desire to perfect the 356. We can actually describe it in a nutshell: Porsche introduced the 356 as a coupe with an air-cooled four-cylinder engine with only 46 hp. When customers bought the most developed model fifteen years later, in 1965, the Porsche 356 had evolved, or rather transformed, into a sports car, equipped with a two-liter engine with no less than 130 hp. Of course, it didn’t stop at a coupe as a body type. Porsche also came out with a cabriolet, roadster, and even the incredibly beautiful speedster.

During the production period of the 356, Porsche introduced the 356B from 1960 to 1963. Some features of the changes included additional vent windows, raised front and rear bumpers, and when the Super version was chosen, the customer received an engine with 15 extra hp. The Super 90 even added 30 hp, meaning this 356 had no less than 50 percent more power than the standard version.

In 1963, more changes followed with the 356C. This version was equipped with a 12-volt system, disc brakes all around, and numerous technical updates. The engine now had 75 hp (DIN, the European specification for hp) as a 1,600 cc or 88 as SAE. The SC version, among other things, had a higher compression ratio and delivered 95 hp (DIN and 107 SAE).

Our Porsche 356 at Gallery Aaldering is a neat 356 Cabriolet, and has undergone restoration and revision work in the past where the authentic details have been preserved as much as possible, making this car appealing to enthusiasts of driver’s cars; a quality that lends itself excellently to enjoying driving and using for the most diverse rides. This car is matching numbers and comes with the Porsche "Geburtsurkunde".

The exterior is neatly painted in gray, which also forms a beautiful combination with the black leather interior and is a sought-after color combination. Despite the paint showing light signs of use, the car looks simply neat. The bodywork is sleek and has good fits. The chrome bumpers and trims look nice, as do the wheels with correct tires. The windows are in good condition, and the rubbers are neat.

In the interior, we find authentic and correct instrumentation. The dashboard is in good condition, and the carpets look well cared for. The upholstery of the seats and doors is beautiful.
This Porsche drives well, shifts properly, and steers well. The engine responds nicely. A pleasant car to drive, with a good chassis and more than enough power for the various rides.
