ASTON MARTIN V12 VANTAGE ROADSTER 2013

In early 2008, Dr. Ulrich Bez, CEO of Aston Martin, confirmed that production of the V12 Vantage would begin in mid-2009, albeit with the 510 hp engine shared with Aston Martin's other 12-cylinder models instead of the 580 hp dry-sump racing unit of the Vantage RS prototype. The first prototype was unveiled by Dr. Bez at the official opening of the British manufacturer's new design studio in Gaydon, Warwickshire on December 11, 2007. Dr. Bez promised that a production version would be considered if there was sufficient demand. The result was a flood of enquiries from enthusiasts eager to get their hands on Aston Martin's fastest road car ever.

The production V12 Vantage Coupé was based on the V8 Vantage Coupé and was powered by Aston Martin's well-known 6.0-liter V12, mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. With a kerb weight of 1,695 kg, the V12 Vantage accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 4.2 seconds and reaches a top speed of 306 km/h. Although the Roadster is fractionally (0.3 seconds) slower than the coupe due to its higher weight, it has the same top speed. Between 2009 and 2018, 1,200 Aston Martin V12 Vantage Coupe were produced. The roadster is a very limited edition, produced over a period of 9 months in only 101 copies, including this car.

“Collection by Vermant” is delighted to be able to offer you this extremely rare Aston Martin V12 Vantage Roadster. The V12 Vantage Roadster is one of the rarest Aston Martin’s produced in the last years and in the ultimate drivers configuration. The limited run V12 roadster was the only Vantage to combine the V12, a convertible roof and a manual transmission. The later iterations of this model where all equipped with a sportshift semi automatic gearbox, making this a true unicorn. This Vantage was delivered new in Monaco to its sole owner in May of 2013. The car was regularly maintained through the dealer network and is presented in excellent condition throughout. Being a Limited and numbered run of only 101 examples, these cars came in the hands of very passionate and dedicated owners who cared for their cars. This is very much visible in the current condition of the car and the service history.

On the exterior of this Vantage we find the beautiful colour, Jet Black. This is a very dark hue of black that suits the car very well. This colour accentuates the various carbon fibre components on the car very well. When looking at the font of the car, we can see a beautiful carbon fibre front splitter that spans the whole underside of the bumper. Going over to the bonnet, we can see the V12 specific louvres. These were implemented on the V12 to let the heat of the mighty engine escape. Going over the side, we can find some more upgrades that the V12 received. The side skirts received a more aerodynamic look. The side air exhaust and rear view mirror where also finished in carbon fibre to give a nice accent of the side of the car. Going over to the wheels, we can find a beautiful 19” diamond cut wheel that was only available on the V12. Behind the wheels, we can find a set of ceramic brakes with gloss black brake calipers, to match the Jet Black of the car. Going over to the rear of this Vantage we can find a beautiful Carbon fibre rear diffusor. This matches perfectly with the carbon fibre strip in the tail lights. The rear decklid of the car also received changes in comparison to the V8 variant with the addition of a small spoiler integrated in the rear decklid. This helps with the rear stability of the car, yet remains subtle to keep the distinguished look and feel of the car.

When looking at the interior of this Vantage, we can see that Aston Martin spared no expense when building the Vantages. Only the best materials where used and these give the car a very luxurious feel.Almost every single panel has been finished in Obsidian Black leather with a light grey contrasting stitch. The grey stitch brings a nice contrast to the black leather, without being over the top. The centre console and centre part of the dasboard has been finished in Jet Black to complement the black exterior colour. The door handles have been finished in Carbon fibre to give a small reminder on the sporty character of the car, without being overly present. To further complement the sportiness of the car, the front window pillars and pars of the roof lining have been finished in a beautiful black alcantara. This also softens the darkness of the interior when the roof is closed. Aston Martin did not only value the aesthetics side of the interior, but also the usability. It features all the modern day comforts a driver could have wished for in 2013. The seats are fully electrically adjustable and feature seat heating. A pop up screen is also present in the centre console that features the navigation system of the car and also displays the rear parking camera of the car. However, the real piece de resistance of this Vantage is the Bang & Olufsen sound system. This was and still is one of the most expensive car audio systems available to order. When new, the owner paid a staggering 8.700€ for this option and is not hard to think why. The interior is presented with beautiful array of speakers that combine into an extraordinary sound experience. To top the system off, 2 speakers rise up out of the two corners of the dashboard once the system is activated.

When looking at the original purchase invoice, we can find the following options:

  • Bang & Olufsen Beosound Audio
  • Bright finish front grille
  • Front parking sensors
  • Garage door opener
  • Heated front seats
  • Reversing camera
