To get right to the point: the fastest production estate car in the world. Not only does the BMW M5 no longer come as a Touring; the Alpina B5 is faster, more comfortable and rarer than a BMW M5. The V8 Bi-Turbo produces a whopping 608 hp and takes the car to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 322 km/h. Handsome performance from Alpina, and this is your chance to get your hands on a stunning young-used example. This Alpina B5 Touring (#385 built) is beautifully finished in Mineralweiß metallic and high-quality ‘Nappa’ black leather upholstery and piano-black inlaid parts in the interior. Delivered new in Germany on 9 April 2019, the car was imported to the Netherlands in April 2023 where it has been owned by the same car-loving owner ever since. The car is packed with a range of precious and distinctive options: a panoramic and sliding/tilt roof, rear seat heating, seat heating and cooling with memory function in the front, sunscreens at the rear side windows, Piano Black inlaid parts, Head-Up display, LED Adaptive headlights, a heated Alpina steering wheel (with green stitching), electric tow bar and a Bowers & Wilkins Surround Sound System. This audio system with 16 speakers and a total of 1,200 watts delivers outstanding sound quality. The stainless steel speakers are beautifully designed in a Fibonacci design with blue ambient lighting. Of course, the Alpina also features electronic seats with memory function, front and rear camera, 4-Zone climate control and many safety systems. The Alpina sits on the distinctive 20-inch alloy Alpina rims surrounded by Pirelli's specially developed tyres (P-Zero). The exhaust is adjustable with a choice of sporty or more civilised sound. Naturally, the Alpina has been dealer-maintained, which is digitally recorded in the car. The following service intervals have been carried out:

- March 2020 (23,200 km)
- January 2021 (40,084 km)
- March 2021 (44,804)
- January 2022 (81,257)
- October 2022 (89,432)
- March 2023 (91,231)
- February 2024 (105,114)
- June 2024 (111,375)

The beautiful blue leather folder is present with the car, containing the instruction booklets. Of course, two keys are present, including an optional ‘display key’. We know of no car that combines sportiness, comfort, luxury and practicality so beautifully. An everyday family car, but one that is faster than almost any sports car.

General information about the Alpina B5 Bi-Turbo Touring
Alpina is much more than just a tuner. Not only is performance optimised, comfort is also a high priority. Alpina therefore tests its cars not only at the Nürburgring, but also on public roads. Not only does the Alpina B5 have new dampers, springs and stabiliser bars, but Alpina goes even further. For instance, the geometry is different with different wishbones. The control of the electric power steering is also different and the xDrive system has been given a different control, allowing up to 90% of the power to the rear and an optional limited slip differential on the rear axle. As standard, BMW has a Comfort, Sport and Sport Plus mode, but Alpina adds a mode: the Comfort Plus mode. Specifically developed by Alpina, it filters the suspension from uneven surfaces even more. This cancels out tree roots, potholes and nasty bumps amazingly well, for example. The ZF eight-speed automatic transmission has been beefed up, has extra cooling, a larger torque converter and faster shift times. Alpina claims this allows the gearbox to change gears in 0.1 seconds faster. Optically, as befits Alpina, the Alpina has been subtly modified: 4 exhaust pipes surrounded by a special bumper, subtle spoiler at the rear and an almost retro-looking front spoiler. An interesting fact about the interior is the fact that the leather upholstery used by Alpina is the same leather used by Rolls-Royce! In short: a rare, stylish, very fast but also practical and comfortable car that can be used everyday.
