The Porsche 911 GT3 RS offers a fantastic combination of a street-legal car that you can use to go to work and one that takes you to the racetrack after work. This is an even more track-oriented, limited production version of the 911 GT3. Thus, this model represents the ultimate combination of production car and race car.
The 911 GT3 RS is based on the 911 GT3 Cup race car and is produced as a street-legal model to meet homologation rules for competition purposes. Do you know what the name stands for? With GT3, Porsche refers to the competition class, and RS refers to Rennsport, or racing sport. The Porsche 911 GT3 RS is highly recognizable with characteristic wheels and striking lettering on the side. Do you remember the legendary Porsche 911 Carrera 2.7 RS from the 1970s? We believe the 911 GT3 RS is very reminiscent of it. Moreover, its much younger brother is significantly lighter than the regular GT3. Porsche achieved this partly by using carbon fiber. Of course, it didn't stop there. The engine of the GT3, the fantastic 3.6-liter six-cylinder engine, was modified by Porsche engineers by using, for example, lightweight pistons, a dual-mass flywheel, and by fitting a racing clutch. The RS version also has modified cylinder heads with different intake and exhaust ports, increasing power to an impressive 376 hp.
In 2006, the 997 GT3 RS followed. With 415 hp and a body with improved aerodynamics, this Porsche builds on the tradition. The 997 GT3 RS was lighter than the standard GT3 and was the first to introduce Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) electronic active damping. For the 2008 model year, Porsche produced only 803 units of the 911 GT3 RS, making it truly rare.
Our example is from 2008 and is therefore one of the 803 built cars. This European-delivered Porsche has only driven 7,000 km, only had one owner, and is therefore in immaculate condition. We provide all original Porsche booklets with this car, including the service book that is fully stamped by the Porsche dealer(s). We also provide various related invoices.
With only 7,000 kilometers, this rare and desirable Porsche is in top condition, as you would expect. The body, interior, and mechanical aspects are in excellent condition. The engine is a truly fantastic power source with 415 hp, coupled with a smoothly shifting six-speed gearbox.
Once on the road, the DNA of this Porsche is a pure race car. We can actually describe it like this: This Porsche 911 GT3 RS is not just a car, but an iconic piece of automotive history that brings the passion and precision of racing technology to the public road.
This is an opportunity to own one of the most coveted sports cars ever made, with a very low mileage. Are you interested in this rare Porsche? Contact us today, we will be happy to assist you.
